After 40 years in financial services, and following the sale of his wealth management business in 2020, Alan Wardrop has never forgotten the period of his career spent establishing financial services within solicitors’ firms and working in estate and executry departments, where he witnessed poor estate planning first-hand. He watched in dismay as family members arrived at solicitors’ offices with a supermarket bag full of bank books and life insurance policies, hoping they still had value. Fast forward 30 years and little has changed, despite the move towards a paperless society. In a digital age, people can struggle even more after a family member’s death, which motivated Alan to create a simple-to-use online platform to record and store key information and important documents.

He now offers a modern solution to solicitors’ firms and professional advisers: a white-labelled, firm-branded version of the Executor Box platform for their clients, making the probate process quicker and more efficient.
