CardSwitcher

Stirling

Cardswitcher.co.uk is the UK’s only price comparison website for credit and debit card processing costs.  We provide instant quotes to SME’s and small/mid-corporates whether they accept cards face to face via POS, online or by phone.

All other market solutions are based on a ‘brokerage’ model whereby instead of an instant quote being provided, merchant details are passed to multiple card processors/acquirers who each individually contact the merchant to quote for their business.

The Cardswitcher solution is superior to the brokerage model in 2 respects –

1) Quotes are provided instantly through one point of contact – www.cardswitcher.co.uk without the merchant being contacted multiple times and

2) Quotes follow the same template and thus are directly comparable.

Cardswitcher.co.uk was founded in 2013 by Stephen Hart and Francesco Santinon.  It was launched in response to a gap in the market for the provision of transparent, comparable pricing for card processing for smaller businesses.

The website was launched in May 2013 and now in its 6th year the business has  5 staff and continues to trade successfully.

Stephen Hart

Before founding Cardswitcher.co.uk, Stephen was the CFO of WorldPay, leading the 2010 sale of the business from RBS plc to Bain Capital and Advent International.  Prior to that he was an M&A specialist with RBS plc and SMG plc and trained as a chartered accountant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Francesco Santinon

Francesco is a partner in the private equity investor Endless LLP.  He joined in 2013 and leads the London Office and investment activity in the South East.  He has been involved with numerous transactions including Gradus, The Book People, Ink Media, Brabant Alucast, Arran Aromatics, and Affinity Workforce.

Previously, Francesco ran the buy-out business of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC, was in investment director at Close Brothers Private Equity and was a chartered accountant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
