Scotland’s First Fintech Skills Academy
In 2018 Fife’s Fintech consortium, which includes several multi billion dollar multinational companies along with younger local companies, decided on a concerted effort to build a much larger pipeline of skills and experience. This would ensure that their businesses would not be constrained by a shortage of core Fintech skills. In association with Invest In Fife and Fife College they created the first industry-led Fintech Skills Academy to build a skills pool to meet the future demand for qualified people. The first payments course included students from Fife College interested in working in the sector as well as existing staff from the consortium.
