Openbook Analytics provides a financial data and analytics platform aimed at simplifying the analysis of financial markets, making investing more accessible to the average person, while also increasing the productivity of experienced investors. Most people want to make money on the markets, but often do not have the time or the knowledge to invest with confidence.

Our customers are people who want to invest but do not know what to invest in. Approximately, only 6% of the population holds a stocks and shares ISA, meaning the vast majority of the population is not using a tax-free method to invest. They may have heard words like crypto, bonds, funds, trackers, but are unsure what any of it means, and so decide not to invest or hold insignificant investment portfolios.

By simplifying the analysis and providing score based filtering, as well as analytics on the company documents and news, our customers will be able to find the investment they are looking for, with greater confidence that it is the right choice for them.

Furthermore, experienced investors can make use of our AI-driven tools and insights to increase their productivity: We aim to reduce the time it takes to perform a deep-dive on a stock from hours into minutes, identifying the critical information the investor is looking for and presenting that information clearly and concisely.

Openbook Analytics was founded by two brothers: Richard Menzies and Andrew Menzies.

Richard Menzies BSc(Hons) is a PhD Student at the University of Glasgow. His research specialises in the Foundations of AI & Neural Networks, giving him an insight into how AI can be applied to help investors make better decisions. He has a passion for investing and the benefit of compound interest. After realising how difficult it is to pick a winning investment, he dedicated his time to creating a platform that will make it simpler and eaiser for everyone to invest wisely and confidently.

Andrew Menzies BA(Hons) has had a passion for Financial Markets from a young age, competing in and winning investing competitions during his degree course in Finance and Economics from the University of Strathclyde. With a strong interest in investing from a young age, Andrew turned his passion into a mission to make investing easier and more accessible to everyone.

As brothers, we both see the potential of AI tools and analytics to financial markets and we founded Openbook Analytics to realise that potential. We conducted market research and reviewed government stastics and believe this is the right time, the right team and the right place for our product to have real impact.
